M Gurr Lake Trail

Brief Description:
The first section of this trail is an easy 1 km (0.6 mi) hike to a cool, clear alpine lake. The second section is a moderate 1.5 km (0.9 mi) hike to a viewpoint above the lake. From here hikers are rewarded with unspoilt views of Burke Channel, the coastal mountains and the rest of the region.

Trail Access: Take the Clayton Falls Creek Forest Service Road which is past the government wharf. After 1.5 km (0.9 mi) follow the road uphill to the left. The beginning of the trail is approximately 17 km (10.6 mi) uphill.
