    Babine River Corridor Provincial Park
    Babine River Corridor Provincial Park serves two major purposes; protecting a significant wildlife habitat as well as the animals who live there and facilitating a variety of river-based recreational opportunities. Steelhead and sockeye salmon attract anglers from around the world and the Babine River offers internationally significant rafting and kayaking. Class III and IV rapids are expected and guided trips are available.

    Clayton Falls Recreation Park
    Visitors to this park can hike the trails that lead to the waterfall, watch salmon spawn from late July until September and enjoy snacks at one of the picnic areas. At times, seals that are searching for food can be seen at the mouth of the creek.

    Sir Alexander Mackenzie Provincial Park
    This small coastal park is a recognized cultural heritage area and the only permitted use of the area is day-visits by air or boat charter from Bella Coola or Bella Bella. The park is named after explorer Alexander MacKenzie who was the first European to cross Rocky Mountains. MacKenzie's voyage took place in the late 18th century.

    Ts'yl-os Provincial Park
    At the heart of Ts'yl-os Provincial Park lies Chilko Lake, the largest, natural, high-elevation, freshwater lake in Canada, and home to rainbow trout, bull trout and sockeye salmon. To the west of the lake the Coastal Mountains rise quickly and to the east BC's dry interior plateau stretches out. Inside the park there are two campgrounds: Gwa Da Ts’ih, and the Nu Chugh Beniz, which requires a high-clearance vehicle to access.

    Located on the western shore of Gilford Island, this provincial park has basic facilities, including a floating dock for small boats, walk-in campsites, picnic area and walking trail. Fishing is a popular activity in this area.

    Kitwanga Mountain Provincial Park
    Kitwanga Mountain Provincial Park is located west of Hazelton and directly north of the Seven Sisters mountains. After a steep climb to the summit, hikers can gaze upon the Seven Sisters and enjoy the view. The summit hike is a challenge, as is the drive into the park if not behind the wheels of a 4x4. Wilderness hiking is permitted within the park.

    Hakai Luxvbalis Conservancy Area
    Located 10 km (6 mi) west of the small town of Namu and 45 km (28 mi) south of Bella Bella, Hakai Luxvbalis Conservancey Area is British Columbia's largest marine park. Situated on the province's central coast, it is accessible by sea or air. The park is popular among paddlers out to explore the coast and see marine mammals, terrestrial wildlife and birds.

    Codville Lagoon Provincial Marine Park
    Located on King Island in Fitz Hugh Sound, Codville Lagoon Provincial Marine Park contains Codville Lagoon, which can be used for diving. Wildlife viewing is also popular in the scenic park. Accessible only by boat, wilderness camping is permitted in the park but no facilities are provided.

    Oliver Cove Provincial Marine Park
    Located on the south end of Don Peninsula along BC's central coast, the closest communities to Oliver Cove Provincial Marine Park are Bella Bella and Shearwater. While Oliver Cove is popular for boat anchorage, it is an undeveloped wilderness area with no facilities. The area can be seen by canoe but watch for the local black bear population.

    Diana Lake Provincial Park
    This lake-front park offers a wide spectrum of water-related activities. Swimming, canoeing and fishing are all popular pastimes for spending a day on the lake. The park is also home to a nature trail that winds through the lush rainforest. In August and September, visitors descend upon Diana Creek to observe salmon spawning.

    The Kitlope Heritage Convervancy Provincial Park protects the largest intact coastal rainforest in the world, which contains trees that are over 800 years old. Covering 317,500 ha (784,000 acres), the park has no trails or facilities but wilderness camping is permitted. The area is popular for viewing wildlife such as grizzly bears, black bears, caribou, moose, mountain goats, birds and more.

This intimidating glacier is slowly eeking north but it still stretches into Strohn Lake and almost reaches the highway.     South of Eutsuk Lake, North Tweedsmuir Provincial Park gives way to Tweedsmuir South. Access to the southern section of the park is easier than the north end and canoeing the Turner lake Chain is a popular local activity. The park is home to a varied landscape, with shield volcanoes, flowing waterfalls and dense forests home to grizzlies, wolves, cougars and more.

    Ross Lake Provincial Park
    Ross Lake Provincial Park is located just outside of Hazelton and is a popular destination no matter the season. In summer visitors can enjoy a picnic lunch by the lake, trout fishing or the park's hiking trails. In winter, ice-fishing, cross country skiing and snowshoeing replace the warm weather activities. Ice skating is also permitted on the lake, but make sure to check the thickness of the ice before lacing up.
